How to unlock your Mordor Dailies
August was a great month for Ascension, here're a few things that happened;
Welcome to Ascension our August recruits.
TeamSpeak is booming, come chat, group, listen to music, or just hang out. Come meet and take your place in the community that is Ascension.
Daytime activity averages around 20-30 (or more) players throughout the day with 18-25 players online at any one time. Plenty of people to join for ash farms or dungeons.
A new face as joined the Officer Council. Please congratulate Aryante and thank him for his efforts thus far and continuing on into the future.
What to Expect
The Game~
There has been conjecture and rumor of a mid-September instance cluster release for Mordor. While we remain skeptical; it remains to see if SSG will pleasantly surprise us.
The Kin~
Surprise or not, keep your eye, eyes, ears and more on the forums for these upcoming highlights;
Crafting Coordination;
Need pots? Food? A starter pack of gear? Use these upcoming forums to place an order and see it filled by another crafter in the kin. No longer do you need to be online at the same time as a crafter to make or have things made. Stop in at the Crafting Corner and place your orders today!
Scheduled Event Nights;
These Nights are headed up by our officers and will consist of a range of activities from ash farms to dungeon grinds to power-leveling to deed groups. Come get used to each other in group play large or small. Look for the signup notes on the kin calendar coming soon. In the meantime, check out our Calendar for upcoming events and special days.
Armour Specs;
Come one, come all. Stand right there, straight and tall. Polish your helms and sharpen your spears, then lend me your ears. For whether content or no, gear recommendations we shall have soon, to show.
This Month's Featured Piece
Why we Raid
Why we Run
Raiding means something different to every person. Not literally, but the motivations and the reasons for why a person raids. For some it is about the glory, others for the gear. For many it is about the comradery, and for some it is about a cause.
Over the course of many years with this kin I have seen every manner of ambition; pure or corrupt. The one that stands above the rest and has come to be a core value it seems, is the simplest of them all. Enjoyment. In general Ascension has long had a tradition of exceptional players and an exceptional community because of this. The players enjoy running content for the challenge, or for the opportunity to spend time together. With the Mordor instances on a horizon (distant or near remains unclear) it is apparent that this, the truest of reasons one can point to and say "that is why" has remained and continues to grow strong in the kin. I see it in the players running dungeons and grinding the landscape. I see it in the people talking in chat. I watch, I listen, and by doing so, I experience the euphoria of the kin as a whole. Regardless of whether someone wants to measure themselves against others in what content that can get done, or simply pursue kills for the warmth of accomplishment, the sense that people enjoy each other's company and that that is not going away any time soon.

Keep a closer eye on your health and that of the group locally or the raid as a whole without the inconvenience of the awkward game UI;
RaidHealz - www.lotrointerface.com/downloads/info954-RaidHealzbyEruadarion.html
The clearer the picture, the better and nothing needs to be clearer in a raid than the health of the group and the boss, use this one for even more exact vitals than the game provides down to the decimal point and beyond.
M_Vitals - http://www.lotrointerface.com/downloads/info895-Vitalsadditionaltargetvisuals.html
The amount of information on the screen can be overwhelming, hard to see, or just plain difficult to keep track of at all times. This one will put all of that in one place to be viewed at a more convenient glance than moussing over a tiny icon
Buff Monitor - http://www.lotrointerface.com/downloads/info521-BuffMonitor.html
If Buff Monitor isn't aesthetically pleasing or not one you want to use because of the manual input required, this one will get the job done just as well.
